Lisa Ewan MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC

Lisa Ewan, MSN, APN, PMHNP, BC has been a registered nurse for 27 years. She started

her career working on a cardiac step-down unit. She soon realized that her passion was

mental health nursing. Lisa worked on two inpatient mental health units for a

total of 13 years. During that time, she was nominated for the New Jersey Governor's

Excellence in Nursing Award.

Lisa decided she wanted to do more for her patients by furthering her education.

In 2011 she graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New

Jersey with her Master of Science in Nursing. She received the Excellence Award

for Outstanding Clinical Performance. She obtained her ANCC certification as a

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in December 2011.

She has worked in an Adult Partial Care program for severely mentally ill patients.

She has also worked in the outpatient mental health setting for 13 years. Lisa is

comfortable treating most mental health disorders. She is a strong advocate for patients

dealing with mental health issues.
